  Jewelry
Amanda Sterett Amanda Sterett

Amanda Sterett

It's quite possible that Amanda Sterett's eye for detail and design is a trait carried deep within her genes. Amanda is quick to recognize family members responsible for cultivating her sense of style. It was her grandmother that provided the inspiration for her jewelry business. Amanda credits selections from her grandmother's jewelry collection for inspiring her own design aesthetic.

Amanda graduated with a degree in fashion merchandising and was quickly recruited by Ralph Lauren where she worked within the corporate sector for 6 years. This decision proved to be astute. In her first year of designing (2004), Amanda sold more than 1,500 pieces and her collection was immediately selected by six top retail boutiques.

Amanda continues to evolve her design by offering a more expansive assortment from which to choose, including bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and now leather cuffs (Fall 2009). Kate Spade selected six designs for all stores nationwide (Spring 2008), two of which were designed specifically for their clients, while Anthropologie quickly picked up her 'critter' necklaces (Spring 2009), of which she designed specifically for their stores and catalogue.

Emilio Pucci Emilio Pucci

Emilio Pucci

Born in 1914 to one of Florence’s oldest noble families, Emilio Pucci became a fashion phenomenon in the 1950’s. It all began when he created a streamlined ski outfit, photographed for Harper’s Bazaar and his trailblazing vision continues to reverberate today.

Pucci was driven by the desire to liberate women, granting them freedom and movement. Inspired by the natural landscapes of the Mediterranean and exotic cultures, Pucci brought luscious, bright colour to his design. The effect was glorious, joyful, and perfectly captured the new mood in fashion.

In the 1950’s Pucci began developing his signature prints – graphic, abstract designs, which swirled in a kaleidoscope of colour. He was known as “the prince of prints” by the international fashion press who were smitten by his bold, new design and radical approach to fashion at the time. Each print carries the designer’s name “Emilio”, from clothing to carpets, marking the debut of a designer’s name as an external logo.
